Parlays

Parlays are said to be for the amateur and inexperienced type bettor. It is often said that bettors should stick to straight bets if they wanna make a respectable profit in the long run. It is difficult enough to call one game, adding two or more games make it that much more difficult to win as your odds of winning decrease. With all that being said, throughout my betting years of over a decade now, strangely I have found the most success in betting money line parlays. The success I have had is the reason I chose to write this blog.

The purpose of this blog is to provide winning parlay picks as the title says. Everyday I will review the daily game match ups and if I see a game I like, I will post that game on my blog. Being in the sports betting profession for as long as I have, has allowed me to make lots and lots of mistakes gambling and as a result gain some much needed experience from my mistakes. I will use my years of experience to hopefully help other sport bettors, whether they are in it for fun or plan to stick with it in the long run. They are a lot of factors that are important and allow you to have a long and respectable sports betting career, but the key factors I have found are having a nice sizable bank roll that fits your budget and lots and lots of PATIENCE. I can't even emphasize how important it is to have patience. I can't even count how many times my lack of patience has cost me in wagers and tons and tons of money.

Parlays are by far my favorite type of wager. They offer bigger payoffs from a small wager. If you are familiar with sports betting, then you most likely already know what a parlay is, if not I will explain. A parlay is a wager that includes two or more bets and all bets must win for you to win your wager. So lets say you take a two team parlay that has they New York Yankees to beat the Kansas City Royals, and St Louis Cardinals to beat they Chicago Cubs, both they Yankees and Cardinals would have to win for you to win your wager.

They are different ways that you can place your parlay wagers. You can bet a parlay using point spreads, money line, or a combination of both. My page titled Types of Sport Bets explains what the different types of wagers mean. When betting a parlay with point spreads, all teams involved must cover the spread assigned to them for you to win your bet. The odds giving when betting with point spread parlays are highly attractive. You can view the odds for yourself below. This link http://parlaycalculator.com/ provides you with a parlay calculator that lets you key in different odds and then the payout.

2 teams 13-5
3 teams 6-1
4 teams 10-1
5 teams 25-1
6 teams 40-1
7 teams 75-1
8 teams 150-1
9 teams 300-1
10 teams 600-1

Money line parlays differ tremendously from a point spread parlay because they do not have fixed odds. As a result you will probably notice that your odds can be higher than point spread parlays, but they can also be a lot lower. The variable that will change your odds when betting money line parlays is how much better one team is compared to their opponent, taking favors will give you lower odds, while taking underdogs will increase your odds. The nice thing about money lines is that you will not have to worry about your team having to cover the spread.
